Fact-Checking Policy

a) IndiaSay.in is committed to publishing accurate and reliable information across all of its content. We take multiple steps to ensure accuracy: we investigate claims with skepticism, question assumptions, and challenge conventional wisdom before publishing.

b) We are committed to achieving due accuracy in all our reporting. Accuracy must be adequate and appropriate to the subject and nature of the content, while also highlighting any constraints that may affect that expectation.

c) All our content must be well-sourced, evidence-based, and corroborated. We avoid unfounded speculation and clearly state when information is uncertain or incomplete.

d) Our journalists do not plagiarize, fabricate, or distort facts. Visuals and information are used responsibly, and context is never knowingly misrepresented.

e) We seek independent verification of claims, allegations, and information—especially from public officials or sources with vested interests. Any unverified material is attributed clearly to its source.

f) IndiaSay.in stands by its reporting. If factual inaccuracies are discovered, we correct them as quickly as possible. We never knowingly mislead readers, distort facts, or present fabricated material as fact. We acknowledge serious factual errors transparently and correct them promptly.

g) We encourage our readers to report inaccuracies using the “Suggest A Correction” option at the end of each article.

h) Our editorial process includes multiple levels of fact-checking. Stories are reviewed by one or more editors depending on complexity, sensitivity, and time constraints. Senior editors are involved in reviewing critical or sensitive stories before publication.

Correction Policies

While IndiaSay.in strives for excellence and accuracy, we acknowledge that errors may occasionally occur. When mistakes happen, we take full responsibility and maintain transparency to ensure incorrect information does not continue to spread.

IndiaSay.in Team

Once the editorial team is notified, the error is investigated using all available resources—reporter’s notes, recordings, published sources, and reader-provided evidence.

If an error is confirmed, the correction is issued in the following ways:

  • Website: The article will be corrected, and an editor’s note will be added at the bottom of the story, explaining what was wrong and when it was fixed.
  • Social Media: If the story was shared on Facebook, Twitter (X), or other platforms managed by IndiaSay.in, a new post will be issued with a link to the corrected article, clearly noting the correction.

After correction, the reader who reported the error will be informed of the steps taken.
